Rab & Khan LLP hosts Iftar dinner sponsored by Mayor Rahm Emanuel

On August 23, 2011, Rab & Khan LLP was honored to be a primary sponsor to the first ever Iftar dinner hosted by the Mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel.

Attendants included Muslim leaders in the business, legal, medical, political, and religious arenas. Held at the beautiful Chicago Cultural Center in downtown Chicago,

the event inspired attendees by, in Mayor Emanuel’s words, demonstrating how members of different races and religions can celebrate together and respect each other’s

traditions. Rab & Khan LLP is proud to have been able to use its resources to bring together a group of leaders that are committed to the ideas of understanding

and cooperation among fellow Chicagoans. Cyrus Rab, Zubair Khan, and Mansoor Khan attended the event.

Rab & Khan LLP is happy to welcome from Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Jennifer Kimball, who comes with years of litigation experience with an expertise in commercial foreclosures, bankruptcy, and creditor based litigation. She has represented many large creditors, debtors, and banks in their most complex bankruptcy and foreclosure matters.

Jennifer joined the existing R&K team that includes attorneys Feroze Khan (specializing in employment law) and Mansoor Khan (Of Counsel).

Rab & Khan LLP successfully battles mortgage fraud committed by notorious mortgage broker and developer

Rab & Khan attorney Zubair Khan, after months of litigation, secured a multi-million judgment against a notorious mortgage broker and developer. Judge Winkler of the Cook County Circuit Court sustained the fraud claims brought on behalf of a physician-investor who was the victim of commercial mortgage fraud. The case has led to an extensive investigation by the newly-formed mortgage fraud unit of the Cook County States Attorney’s Office. Rab & Khan LLP is excited to report that the investigation has subsequently led to multiple indictments for mortgage fraud that we hope will play a significant role in protecting innocent victims in the future.
